PRINCIPAL GUIDEWIRE PRODUCT OWNER

About the role

Lead product strategy, roadmap, prioritization, and delivery for enterprise P&C insurance solutions. Drive modernization and transformation initiatives across Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, and Regulatory Compliance. Partner with business, technology, and executive stakeholders to define product vision, requirements, and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Agile teams.
• Manage product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release planning.
• Drive delivery within Agile/Scrum and SAFe environments.
• Oversee Guidewire-based solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and ContactManager.
• Manage multiple priorities and complex enterprise initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Facilitate executive presentations, stakeholder discussions, workshops, and decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience, including Underwriting, Policy Administration, Billing, Claims, and Regulatory Compliance.
• 5+ years of Guidewire experience with PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and ContactManager.
• 8+ years of Product Management, Business Analysis, Product Ownership, or Agile Delivery experience.
• 3+ years leading Product Owners, Business Analysts, or Agile teams.
• Strong experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale insurance modernization and transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Guidewire On-Prem and Cloud capabilities.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within complex enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of Guidewire On-Prem experience.
• 2+ years of Guidewire Cloud experience.
• Guidewire Certified Professional certification.
• PSPO, SAFe PMPO, AINS, or CPCU certification.
• Strong experience with Homeowners and Commercial Property insurance.
• Experience leading large-scale product portfolios and enterprise transformation programs.
