Principal FSI Assurance Specialist
About The Role
Strategically, AWS Financial Services (FSI) Assurance Specialists are part of the broader Financial Services Security and Compliance team and seek to understand the audit and due diligence needs of Financial Services customers during their evaluation of AWS as a cloud provider, the overall trends in the industry, how customers define success, and ensure that we are exceeding expectations in developing and delivering solutions. Through their understanding of our Financial Services customers, industry rules, regulations, requirements, and governance best practices, Financial Services Assurance Specialists provide guidance while building bespoke solutions for addressing the assurance needs of our worldwide customer base.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Trusted Advisor & Customer Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to customers' Internal Audit teams, executives, and all stakeholders involved in AWS cloud adoption. Build deep relationships with global financial institutions, from enterprise banks to Fintech startups. Engage decision-makers at all levels during due diligence and audit processes.
- AWS Best Practices & Resource Optimization: Demonstrate AWS best practices, tools, and frameworks that simplify customers' audit and due diligence processes. Showcase AWS AI technologies and automation that drive efficiency in assurance workflows. Develop tailored solutions addressing specific assurance requirements of financial services customers.
- External Thought Leadership: Actively contribute to external organizations such as ISACA, Cloud Security Alliance, and other cloud technology risk bodies. Represent AWS at industry conferences and speaking engagements to shape cloud assurance best practices. Bring industry insights back to inform AWS strategy and customer engagements.
- Internal Collaboration & Delivery: Work cross-functionally with internal AWS teams to deliver best practices and requirements to customers. Drive internal stakeholders and SMEs to ensure timely delivery of customer audit needs. Respond and deliver due diligence and audit intake activity for customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of solving problems with technology in the Global Financial Services Industry experience
- 7+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
- 7+ years of working with Business Application Technologies, including, but not limited to End User Compute (EUC), Supply Chain, Contact Center as a Service, Consumer Data Applications, Encrypted Communications, and/or Communication Developer Services experience
- 5+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of security, compliance and risk management experience, or degree in advanced technology
- 10+ years of experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
- 10+ years experience in handling internal & external audits
Pay
USA, NY, New York - 193,700.00 - 262,000.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
