Element has an opportunity for a Principal Fracture Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer performs routine and non-routine testing assignments, ensuring timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The role requires proficiency in core business and technical skills, including compliance with safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-depth technical and engineering leadership and support the development of new technologies on a global scale.
  • Be accountable for accurate and timely release of testing data to customers, including sign-offs of quality control data.
  • Provide guidance in non-routine testing situations and oversee complex technical problem-solving activities.
  • Interact with customers on technical issues and questions.
  • Support business development opportunities with new or existing customers.
  • Deliver formal and informal presentations on complex testing to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineers globally.
  • Carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data.
  • Utilize a variety of skills, methods, procedures, and materials in advanced testing analysis.
  • Draw on internal knowledge as well as industry and academic resources to reach testing conclusions.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety.
  • High level of expertise in the scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies, and boundaries of the chosen engineering discipline.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in a science or testing-related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within Element’s business context.
  • In-depth understanding of testing concepts and the ability to analyze and compile testing data.
  • Strong computer skills.

Pay

$110,000–$140,000/year, dependent on experience.
