Principal Field Applications Engineer - CloudAI
About the role
At Arm, we are shaping the future of computing for cloud and AI infrastructure. Our hyperscale partners rely on Arm technology to deliver performance and efficiency on a meaningful scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead architecture-level collaborations with hyperscaler customers throughout the entire silicon lifecycle, serving as their dependable technical advisor and ensuring system builds align with Arm’s strategic direction.
- Find opportunities to implement Arm technology in partner designs and provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical leadership.
- Influence adoption of Arm Cloud AI solutions; including Arm CSS (Neoverse CPU configuration, core scaling, cache hierarchy, and coherency fabric topology, such as CMN).
- Advise on memory subsystem design (DDR5, HBM, NUMA scaling) and bandwidth/latency trade-offs.
- Lead PCIe Gen5/6 and CXL integration engagements, including coherent memory expansion strategies.
- Lead accelerator and heterogeneous compute integration within server-class SoCs.
- Support partners using pre-silicon performance models to identify architectural bottlenecks prior to tape-out.
- Collaborate with customers to optimize workloads, including cloud-native applications, HPC, AI/ML, and enterprise systems.
- Stay informed on trends in cloud infrastructure, systems architecture, and modern software stacks.
- Anticipate technical risks, handle partner concerns, and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Communicate architectural concepts effectively to audiences with technical and executive backgrounds.
- Drive technical alignment between customer silicon teams and Arm engineering.
- Provide structured field feedback to influence product direction and driven positioning decisions.
- Promote consensus on firmware requirements through leading dialogues between customers and internal engineering departments, ensuring customer needs are thoroughly recorded.
- Own technical customer concerns by coordinating issue triage and resolution across customers, internal engineering teams, and ecosystem partners, driving issues to closure with clear communication and accountability.
Who You Are
