Responsibilities
- Build and grow the team.
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-caliber engineering team on a net-new charter, and turn senior engineers into technical leaders and future managers
- Set the technical and product direction and be accountable for delivering an AI system that safely reasons over - and changes - customer identity policy at scale.
- Establish how the team designs, tests, and ships AI that must be correct, explainable, and reversible -hardening posture without breaking users.
- Define how the Conditional Access engine, Identity Protection risk signals, and the agent-identity platform fit together, and align the teams that own them.
- Drive the "securing AI" strategy across boundaries.
- Build a team culture where reliability, security, and operational excellence are first-class.
- Represent the work to leadership and customers. Shape the roadmap with partners and executives across Microsoft Security, and bring enterprise feedback directly back into the plan.
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
