Principal Engineer, Tech Lead - Integrations & APIs

For a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space, we are seeking a Principal Engineer Tech Lead to drive technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and business transformation. This role collaborates across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture and execution quality.

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical vision for the Integration team and its supporting services
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business goals into technical strategies and execution plans
• Contribute quality production code while leading design and operational rigor
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable backend systems across multiple projects
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Mentor engineers through feedback and technical coaching, elevating team performance

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Deep expertise in software architecture and distributed systems
• Experience building backend services using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java)
• Strong technical leadership experience with a focus on influence rather than formal authority

Pay

$213,000 – $273,000 annually
