What you will be doing
- Achieve desired technical outcomes through the direct completion of Design Control, CAPA, CC project deliverables or programs within boundaries of timing and budget
- Provide technical oversight of a constantly changing portfolio impacting R&D, Operations, Quality Systems, Process, Customer or Supply Chain
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet schedule and project demands
- Review and approve design changes and provide technical product direction for the project team based on technical expertise
- Foster an environment of rigor, completeness and compliance when participating on CAPA, CC or FCA investigations/assessments
- Embrace accountability for critical decisions as a technical subject matter expert within a cross-functional team to drive product development deliverables, such as formulation development, process development, or tech transfers
- Demonstrate understanding of and adherence to FDA, ISO, and IEC design control procedures and standards
- Create design concepts and research methodologies that best meet current and future customer and business needs for a product or process domain area
- Use critical thinking and teamwork to contribute to the resolution of competing constraints
- Create and maintain technical documents found in a DHF, such as verification/validation reports, technical drawings, and specifications
- Develop and execute study plans and reports
What you will bring
- B.S. in engineering discipline (preferably Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering); M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
- At least 5+ years proven success in product development environment
- Experience in creating/managing design documentation and transfer of products into manufacturing
- Proficient in 3D CAD Software
- Experience in prototyping, testing, and evaluating mechanical designs
- Skilled at written and verbal presentations within the business/technical community
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical projects through successful outcomes
- Must be self-motivated, resourceful, flexible. A self-starter is imperative
- Preferred experience with TQM, statistical methods, problem analysis and resolution, materials science, and design of experiments
Pay
- Estimated base salary: $112,000 to $154,000 annually
- May also be eligible for discretionary bonuses
