Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Experience in designing and implementing large-scale filesystems or distributed storage systems.Experience leading product development of 2nd generation cloud products at scale.Experience with any of the following IaaS solutions: Kubernetes, system virtualization, on-premise or hybrid cloud computing, cloud identity and security system, cloud monitoring and logging, or local and cloud storage.Technical expertise in systems and software with the leadership skills needed to influence technical leaders across the company. In this role, you will be responsible for execution for GDC Storage and Data Protection. You will directly influence a team of software engineers, work closely with product management and engineering managers to define and execute on the storage for GDC roadmap for public sector, retail, and telecom markets. Collaborate with peer tech leads in Google Distributed Cloud Edge Delivery (GDCE) to develop a strategic roadmap to remediate all reliability findings.Collaborate with a global team of engineers and product managers to execute making appropriate tradeoffs between architecture, time-to-market, and business goals.Drive systems and tools, and infrastructure strategic roadmap and development to improve the ability to scale GDC Storage.Lead the overall Storage end-to-end technical strategy for GDC.
