Principal Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and present financial results of Capitol E&A operations.
• Coordinate and oversee employee work activities and training.
• Evaluate the performance of the employees reporting to him/her and review their evaluations regularly.
• Participate in the hiring, advising, counseling, and disciplining of the employees reporting to her/him.
• Develop sales and execution strategy for Capitol E&A.
• Review quality systems, safety procedures, and training to protect company assets.
• Collaborate with the AE Company Safety and Risk Management departments regarding standards compliance, training, and reporting.
• Develop sales and execution strategy for Capitol E&A.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering or related field.
• Current Kentucky PE license or reciprocal state with the ability to attain a Kentucky PE license.
• Two years' experience stamping drawings/designs.
• Five or more years’ experience in managing and deploying automation and controls systems (commercial/industrial) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Primarily on-site at AE Company Frankfort office.
• Role occasionally requires working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Some tasks may require working early morning, evening, or weekend hours depending on business needs.
