Principal Engagement Manager, Professional Services (ProServe) team
About the role
The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to join our team and lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. In this role you will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for our clients.
Responsibilities
Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects
Leveraging comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning
Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes
Distingishing customer needs into clear technical requirements and map them to business outcomes
Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions
Contributing to technical documentation and define documentation standards
Requirements
8+ years of cloud computing experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
Experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman)
Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales environments
Advanced degree in advanced technology, or AWS Professional level certification
Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape

Base salary range: $182,700.00 - $247,200.00 USD annually
