About the role

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Principal Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. This role combines technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful implementations of AWS-based solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Led and managed complex cloud migration and implementation projects.

  • Leveraged comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.

  • Bridged business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.

  • Distilled customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapped them to business outcomes.

  • Decomposed complex technical problems into actionable, deliverable solutions.

  • Contributed to technical documentation and defined documentation standards.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of cloud computing experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years experience in project management of technical programs.

  • 8+ years experience with software development life cycle (SDLC); Waterfall/Agile/iterative methodologies.

  • Experience leveraging GenAI for project management and agile methodologies on enterprise level engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS experience preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.

  • Strong understanding of AWS services, architectures, and best practices.

  • Experience applying AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.

  • Proven ability to establish technical credibility with engineering teams and senior technical decision-makers.

  • Managed and delivered IT and Transformation engagements for a Fortune 100 company.

  • Work experience in any of the industries such as Financial Services (Banking/Insurance), Automotive, Telecommunications, Health Care & Life Sciences, Energy, Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing.
