Principal Electrical Design & Production Product Lead

About the Role

Raytheon’s Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within Raytheon. The department designs, develops, integrates, tests, and supports production builds of multiple Raytheon radar products. This on-site role in Tewksbury, MA, leads the resolution of design, build, and test issues for REPA Receiver Exciter products and involves travel between Andover, MA and Marlborough, MA.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical investigations and resolutions for design, build, and test issues on Receiver Exciter subsystems, CCAs, and components.
• Perform circuit and sub-system analysis, modeling, simulation, and verification to mitigate production build and test issues.
• Lead the transition to production of REPA products.
• Drive small projects or process improvements within your area of responsibility.
• Update circuit card and subassembly designs to resolve obsolescence and producibility issues.
• Interface with suppliers.

Requirements

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience with RF system, subsystem, and/or component analysis, design, and test.
• Experience leading analysis or Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, preferably with supplier and factory issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing and troubleshooting RF components/subsystems such as up-converters, down-converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters.
• Ability to assimilate inputs from multiple sources and derive design and operational requirements.
• Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, including yield and margin analysis.
• Technical writing and formal presentation experience.
• Experience leading and growing a multi-discipline engineering team.
• Experience working in both engineering design and production environments.
• Active or existing Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
