Principal, Design Researcher

Responsibilities

• Lead qualitative and quantitative design research for early-stage projects to uncover customer needs
• Provide strategic frameworks linking research insights to business strategy
• Synthesize complex data into actionable narratives for stakeholders
• Collaborate with Product and Design to rapidly test new concepts and prototypes
• Mentor team members on best practices in design research within a tech ecosystem
• Advocate for customer perspectives in team discussions to inspire innovative solutions

Qualifications

• 7+ years in design research or user research, preferably in innovation or product development
• Proven experience leading ambiguous research programs in high-growth tech environments
• Mastery of various research methods like ethnography and rapid concept validation
• Skilled in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis with a flexible approach
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with a strong executive presence
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for cross-functional teamwork
• Degree in HCI, Design, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field

Pay

$171,120 – $251,600 annually
