Principal Decision Scientist, Strategy & Innovation

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Decision Scientist, Strategy & Innovation to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will drive advanced analytical work that informs strategy, shapes service enhancements, and helps evaluate new growth opportunities. You will partner closely with business leaders and executive stakeholders to translate complex questions into rigorous statistical approaches and actionable recommendations. The position will also help strengthen analytics standards, reusable methods, and broader decision-making across the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $144,200 – $288,400 annually Responsibilities Lead statistical studies to analyze member outcomes and clinical effectiveness Design and maintain causal inference studies to support service enhancements Translate ambiguous business inquiries into structured analytical methodologies Conduct analyses to size new product and partnership opportunities Champion analytics best practices across the organization Act as a mentor for analytics talent Present analytical findings to executive leadership and influence strategic decisions Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Decision Science, Data Science, or Advanced Analytics Expert SQL and strong Python programming skills Strong expertise in applied statistics and advanced analytics methods Experience in causal inference and program impact measurement Hands-on experience with healthcare/payer datasets Exceptional business communication skills for stakeholder engagement Experience with modern cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP Knowledge of data engineering and scalable analytical frameworks Proficiency in establishing analytics best practices and reusable assets Strong written communication and executive presence for conveying complex analyses Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off for work-life balance Retirement savings options for financial planning Wellness programs to promote employee well-being Resources to support physical, emotional, and financial health Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
