Principal Data Scientist – GenAI Development & Solutioning

Key Responsibilities
- Develop/Implement/Test AI solutions for the Consumer Auto organization, including supporting vendor-developed Agentic AI models and its governance
- Leverage novel approaches to continuously improve model performance and business outcomes
- Advance responsible AI practices by integrating governance, ethical considerations, and security into every stage of model development and deployment
- Develop and maintain trustworthy benchmarks and operational performance monitoring for predictive models and GenAI and agentic systems
- Identify and champion new business opportunities by proposing and delivering innovative AI-driven solutions that create tangible value and competitive advantage
Skills
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative/Technical Discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Economics)
- Minimum 5 years of data science / quantitative modeling work experience, with hands-on experience working with large datasets (including text); practical experience with deploying LLMs highly preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience designing and implementing predictive models, Generative AI, and agentic systems, with a track record of developing novel AI approaches to boost model performance
- Strong foundational knowledge of responsible AI practices, including the integration of data governance, ethical AI considerations, and security protocols throughout the model-development lifecycles
- Experiences of partnering with GenAI vendors and external technology team to deliver GenAI solutions
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field
- Deep expertise in statistics and exploratory data analysis (EDA), paired with the ability to establish trustworthy benchmarks and operational performance monitoring for deployed models
- Solid knowledge in programming languages of Python, SQL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present data analytics results to internal and external stakeholders
- Highly self-motivated and adaptable, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
Work Schedule
Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager.
