Principal Data Insight Analyst (Top Secret)
About the role
The Principal Data Insight Analyst will work on a dynamic team focused on understanding and interpreting data from various sources to generate actionable insights. This role requires hands-on experience with statistical modeling and the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively.
Responsibilities
- Specify, collect, process, and present information from disparate data sets
- Analyze data sets and develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative data
- Identify patterns and higher-level information from diverse data sources using appropriate tools and applications
- Translate analytic findings into clear, actionable recommendations and executive presentations with compelling visualizations and narratives
- Prioritize analytics backlog based on business impact, technical feasibility, and operational readiness
- Manage stakeholder expectations and delivery timelines
- Lead cross-functional analytics projects, coordinating engineering, data platform, and business teams to deliver production-ready solutions
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a Master’s degree or 9 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Hands-on analytics experience, including advanced statistical modeling and experimentation
- Proficient with MS Office products and Atlassian Suites
- Experience with pivoting tables, charting, and building nested Excel functions
Qualifications
- Active Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program (SAP) access via a Program Access Request (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Skills
- Familiarity with aircraft systems such as avionics/mechanical equipment as well as other common systems

Pay
The starting salary range for this role is $103,600.00 - $155,400.00 annually. Final salary offer will depend on the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
Schedule
This position requires a full-time, on-site presence at the Northrop Grumman facility in Palmdale, CA. There is no remote or hybrid option for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required.
