Our Federal Delivery team is seeking a technical Senior Security Solutions Architect to support the DHS OCIO Security Tools program. This is a hybrid role based in National Harbor, MD, with three days per week onsite. The Senior Solutions Architect provides technical direction across the program's security tool portfolio support spanning SIEM, endpoint/EDR, privileged access management, network detection, and vulnerability management, advising tool teams on configuration approach, integration strategy, and technology roadmap. The Senior Solutions Architect is expected to engage substantively on tool architecture, data flows, and integration design; evaluate emerging technologies against program requirements; and identify and resolve gaps in proposed technical solutions. The ideal candidate brings broad, credible exposure across the security tool landscape, sound technical judgment, and the ability to communicate complex technical material clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including client and government counterparts. Serve as a senior advisor to Branch and Division level leadership on emerging issues, assessing the impact of and recommending action based on new or changing Federal guidance (Executive Orders, CISA directives, etc.). What You'll Do: Lead and facilitate solutioning technical cybersecurity challenges across the portfolio of security toolsBuild and maintain technology roadmaps for the program's security tool portfolioAdvise tool teams on configuration approaches and integration strategy across the security stack, including SIEM, EDR, PAM, network detection, and vulnerability management platformsEvaluate new and replacement tools for onboarding, including vulnerability management platforms such as Qualys, and assess technical fit against program requirements and the existing environmentRepresent the program in meetings with senior government officials, presenting and defending technical approachesIdentify gaps, risks, and inconsistencies in proposed technical solutions prior to deliveryWork with tool team leads to shape technical approaches toward stronger client outcomesMonitor the technical health of the tool portfolio and flag emerging integration or capability gapsProvide technical analysis and recommendations to program leadership on tool-portfolio direction and investment decisionServe as a technical point of contact for cross-tool architecture and integration questions What You Have: Bachelor's degree plus 15 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 12 years of relevant experience (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree)Broad, demonstrated experience across security tool categories — Splunk, EDR/endpoint, vulnerability management, PAM, network detection, or similarExperience with enterprise SIEM tools, specifically with large deployments of SplunkExperience with vulnerability management platforms; experience with Qualys specifically preferredDemonstrated experience evaluating, architecting, and integrating security tools within a complex technical environmentExperience evaluating and onboarding new security tools into an existing environmentExperience presenting technical material in client- and government-facing settingsSound technical judgment and the ability to communicate complex technical material clearly to varied audiencesEven-keeled, professional, and customer-oriented under pressureEffective communicator at all levels, written and verbal What You've Done: CISSP, CISM, or similar security certificationsExperience supporting federal agency security operationsFamiliarity with Zero Trust Architecture implementationPrior experience in a solutions architect, technical lead, or senior engineering capacity Work Environment: Hybrid work model with 3 days/week on-site presence near National Harbor, MarylandUS Citizenship required; no active security clearance required to start What We Offer: 401(k), including an employer match of 100% of the first 3% contributed and 50% of the next 2% contributed Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance (available on the 1st day of the month following your first day of employment) Group Term Life, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability Voluntary Life, Hospital Indemnity, Accident, and/or Critical Illness Participation in the Discretionary Time Off (DTO) Program 11 Paid Holidays Annually UltraViolet Cyber maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect our company's differing products, services, industries and lines of business.
