Principal Cyber Engineer (TS/SCI w/FSP Required)

About The Role
Everfox is seeking talented cyber engineers motivated to help customers solve complex and fast-moving cybersecurity challenges supporting the U.S. Government. Focusing on proven Everfox Cross Domain solutions, you will interface directly with customers and play a key role in designing and deploying enterprise Cross Domain solutions to ensure customer success. The successful candidate will receive specialized training to support Everfox technologies. Location: Columbia, MD – at the customer location.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Linux and scripting expertise to support and field critical customer-driven requirements enabling secure data transfer.
- Engage directly with customers to provide advanced design, analysis, and implementation of Everfox software.
- Review, analyze, and define requirements; design integrated solutions; implement Everfox and non-Everfox technologies; integrate multiple tools across disciplines; perform formal security and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot technical issues hands-on in Linux-based environments, using and configuring Everfox solutions to deliver critical customer requirements.
- Work on complex network environments, troubleshooting issues, designing and implementing failover capabilities, and validating interoperability with other enterprise components.
- Provide technical briefings to customers and Everfox leadership as required.
- Deliver training, troubleshooting, and on-site/remote support for mission-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).
- 8+ years of experience in a cyber engineer role supporting enterprise software solutions.
- Strong experience in Linux and scripting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relay technical information to customers and laypersons.
- Interest or experience in cybersecurity practices, methodologies, associated technologies, application design and development, or operational environments.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, etc.).
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent.
- DoDI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I; SANS GSEC, CISSP preferred.
Skills
- Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
- Working knowledge of virtualized and networked environments.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Experience with security COTS product integration (e.g., firewall, web gateways, Data Loss Prevention).
- Ability to prepare documentation to support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities.
- Apply knowledge of current Information Assurance (IA) policies as a contributor to the architecture and design of secure solutions to customer needs and requirements.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $183,600-$221,600 USD annually. The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidate's unique experience, locale, and business needs.

Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission-critical requirements). This position requires minimal travel—up to 10% domestic travel as needed to meet customer and project requirements.
