About the Role
Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo.
Responsibilities
- Define wireless architecture for consumer electronics devices
- Define key performance metric and drive modeling efforts to predict end-to-end system performance
- Perform gap analysis and system performance optimization across radio, PHY, MAC, firmware and software
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in communication theory, OFDM, MIMO, Digital/Wireless Communication Systems or RF engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in Wireless Architecture or Systems
- 10+ years of experience in Wireless/RF
- Experience in Wi-Fi/BT/BLE/ZigBee/WAN/GPS/UWB or NFC
- Strong knowledge in PHY/MAC
- Experience with scripting languages and simulation tools such as Python/MatLab, and etc.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience in wireless architecture for consumer electronics
- Experience with wireless (Wi-Fi/BT/BLE/ZigBee) protocols
- Experience with Network Simulators and PHY/MAC layer modeling
- Experience in RFIC or Custom wireless chipset development
Pay
USA, CA, Sunnyvale - 217,800.00 - 294,700.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
