About the role
Join one of the UK's largest cancer treatment centres as a Principal Clinical Scientist within the Treatment Planning & Imaging Section of Radiotherapy Physics at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. You'll be working with an outstanding range of technology — thirteen Varian linear accelerators including an Ethos system, four Philips CT radiotherapy simulators, and a Siemens RT MRI Simulator — supporting a full suite of advanced VMAT planning techniques, including SABR across a wide range of clinical sites, with many treatments delivered using FFF technology. Based primarily at Gartnavel General Hospital in Glasgow, with occasional work at our Lanarkshire Beatson satellite site in Airdrie, this is a genuine chance to build specialist expertise at a leading centre, take on real scientific responsibility, and help shape the future of radiotherapy imaging and planning.

Responsibilities
- Work with thirteen Varian linear accelerators (including Ethos system), four Philips CT radiotherapy simulators, and a Siemens RT MRI Simulator.
- Support advanced VMAT planning techniques, including SABR across a wide range of clinical sites.
- Ensure treatments are delivered using FFF technology.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of radiotherapy imaging and planning processes.
Requirements
- Substantial professional experience specifically within Radiotherapy Physics.
Qualifications
- HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.
- MPE certificate from RPA2000.
Skills
- Experience with Varian linear accelerators (including Ethos system).
- Experience with Philips CT radiotherapy simulators.
- Experience with Siemens RT MRI Simulator.
- Proficiency in advanced VMAT planning techniques.
- Knowledge of SABR delivery and application.
- Experience with FFF technology.
