About the role
The Principal Clinical Informatics Specialist RN combines advanced clinical nursing skills with technical knowledge to create systems that can greatly improve the quality of patient outcomes. This role supports high-quality patient care through efficient management of data and Information Technology, using data to analyze trends, monitor themes, and implement new, more efficient workflows, processes, and policies. The Principal Clinical Informatics Specialist RN serves as an informatics subject matter expert to bridge between clinical staff and technical advancement, ensuring tools and technology are user-friendly and practical for caregivers.
Responsibilities

- Implement new, efficient workflows, processes, and policies to improve patient care.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Registered Nurse License upon hire, valid in states where care is delivered.
- 8 years in a position that includes clinical experience and similar primary duties working with a clinical information system within a healthcare setting.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in informatics, Education, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a clinical discipline such as Nursing, or a related healthcare field (preferred).
- Informatics certifications or credentialing upon hire (may substitute for up to 2 years of experience at the hiring manager’s discretion).

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $58.81 - $91.30 per hour. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range will be determined based on relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
