Principal Business Analyst, Portfolio Management

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Business Analyst, Portfolio Management to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will help shape portfolio management decisions that influence underwriting, pricing, and customer engagement outcomes across credit products. You will work closely with risk, data science, and engineering partners to turn analysis into tested strategies that support business performance. The position also leverages modern AI tools to improve analytical workflows and strengthen recommendations.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Design or refine underwriting and pricing strategies for multicard products
• Develop tested strategies for customer re-engagement through rewards upgrades
• Collaborate with risk, data science, and engineering teams to implement strategies
• Analyze data to ensure recommendations align with business outcomes
• Utilize new AI tools to enhance analytical processes

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in credit or lending
• Proven end-to-end problem-solving skills from hypothesis to recommendation
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis; Tableau is a plus
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
• Strong academic performance in quantitative disciplines

Pay

$118,000 – $135,000 annually
