About the role
As a Principal Broker at Compass, you will support, coach, and retain Compass agents while fostering an exceptional company culture. Serving as a key liaison between the regional leadership team and our agents, you will drive the implementation of various sales and platform-related initiatives and policies in alignment with the company’s vision and annual goals. You will lead a large agent population, motivating, coaching, and mentoring sales agents, as well as providing strategic and operational guidance to the Company’s executive team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and retain a large agent population through coaching, mentoring, and professional development guidance.
- Conduct regular office-wide agent meetings for growth planning, performance reviews, policy updates, and market intelligence.
- Relay market intelligence from the Research team and Business Development targets to agents.
- Provide high-level business planning, feedback, and professional development guidance to agents.
- Develop initiatives to boost agent productivity and reinforce best practices through coaching.
- Track and monitor key metrics and platform adoption to drive revenue and increase efficiency.
- Help agents develop and deliver their personal sales goals.
- Ensure Compass creates a positive work environment to enhance agent satisfaction and retention.
- Promote positive behavioral attributes and attitudes among agents.
- Resolve agent, brokerage, and contract/compliance issues as needed.
- Act as a culture carrier to inspire and empower those around you with a constructive approach to change.
- Relay on-the-ground market trends from agents to the Business Development and Executive teams.
- Develop and share perspectives on future agent management strategies.
- Act as a conduit between local leadership and agents by implementing sales-related initiatives and policies aligned with company values.
- Build and drive strategies to grow the adoption of Compass tech, programs, and ancillary services within your agent population.
- Partner with Business Development to collaborate on agent candidates.
- Provide support to agents in pitching new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with agent teams on sales exclusive presentations and proper market pricing for sellers.
- Complete annual Agent Contract renewals for your agent roster.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Brokers license required; must be validly licensed in applicable state(s) at all times of service.
- Personal sales experience as a Realtor with 5+ years of being licensed.
- At least two years of experience as an Associate Sales Manager or 5+ years in real estate sales/sales management.
- Deep understanding of local real estate contracts and laws.
- Must obtain state license requirements for any jurisdiction in which you operate (e.g., Broker’s level).
