Principal Backend Engineer- Admin Workflows

About the role

The Principal Backend Engineer on the Admin Workflows team at Yoodli Ai will own the systems that transform admin ideas and raw materials into engaging, AI-first training. Key responsibilities include building content integrations, agent frameworks, and content creation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own scalable, reliable backend services
• Set technical direction for the team
• Design and implement distributed systems and APIs that scale
• Mentor and lead technical growth within the team
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver impactful solutions
• Ensure systems are secure, maintainable, and user-friendly
• Contribute to the strategic vision of the company

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional development experience shipping and operating production systems
• Deep experience architecting and owning backend services end-to-end
• Track record of designing and implementing distributed systems and APIs that scale
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python, with the ability to debug complex distributed systems
• Clear communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional collaborations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• Experience with LLMs, generative AI, and AI-powered applications
• Experience with speech/audio processing technologies
• Experience with NoSQL databases and Kubernetes
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
