About the role

We are looking for a candidate with a strong project management foundation to partner directly with the ASIC leadership team. In this role, you will drive strategic planning, operational rigor, and cross-functional alignment across a world-class hardware team building custom ASICs at scale. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role that blends strategic leadership with hands-on program execution. You'll operate at the intersection of Engineering, Business, Accounting, Tax, Global trade and Operations—ensuring our ASIC programs deliver on time, on quality, and in alignment with Amazon's broader technology strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory & Resource Planning
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to the ASIC Director, driving clarity on priorities, resource allocation, and organizational strategy.
    • Partner with Finance and HR on headcount planning, budget tracking, and resource optimization.
  • Operating Cadence & Governance
    • Own the operating rhythm — leadership reviews, WBR/MBR/QBR, planning cycles (OP1/OP2), and goal-setting mechanisms.
    • Establish program governance including stage gates, readiness reviews, and decision frameworks that scale with organizational growth.
  • Cross-Functional Program Management
    • Lead programs spanning silicon design, NPI, Operations, Business, Tax, Accounting, and Global Trade.
    • Define and manage integrated schedules across multiple ASIC programs, tracking interdependencies, critical path, and escalation paths for at-risk programs.
  • Strategy-to-Execution Translation
    • Translate leadership vision into executable plans with clear milestones, owners, and success criteria.
    • Identify emerging risks, organizational blockers, and strategic gaps; drive resolution across teams.
  • Metrics, Reporting & Accountability
    • Define and track KPIs/OKRs for the ASIC organization.
    • Drive accountability through dashboards and mechanisms that provide real-time visibility into program health, and produce executive-level reporting and narratives.
  • Cross-Organizational Alignment & Communication
    • Serve as the primary coordination point between Silicon Operations and dependent teams (systems, software, accounting, suppliers).
    • Facilitate alignment across Amazon Leo and broader Amazon hardware/silicon organizations.
    • Represent the team in leadership forums, S-team reviews, and cross-Amazon planning processes — ensuring the right information reaches the right stakeholders at the right time.
  • Organizational Health & Culture
    • Lead team engagement, communication cadence, and culture development initiatives that foster a high-performing, connected organization.
