You will collaborate closely with engineering, cloud operations, and security teams to set architectural direction, establish standards, and guide delivery. This is a hands-on, influence-driven role for a systems thinker who communicates equally well with engineers and executives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the target-state network architecture across cloud and on-premises environments, including reference designs, standards, and documentation.
  • Architect cloud network solutions in an Azure-first environment, designing for scalability, segmentation, and secure connectivity.
  • Design and govern the network security edge, including next-generation firewalls, zero-trust principles, and secure remote access.
  • Guide the evolution of enterprise routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure, and define integration paths between on-premises and cloud.
  • Support multi-cloud connectivity as part of a broader cloud strategy.
  • Ensure network designs align with healthcare regulatory and security requirements, partnering with the security organization on audit readiness.
  • Champion automation and Infrastructure-as-Code approaches to network provisioning and change management.
  • Partner on incident response and root cause analysis, translating lessons learned into architectural improvements.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors, making recommendations that improve reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Present and defend architecture decisions to technical teams and senior stakeholders with clear, business-framed rationale.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in enterprise networking, with 3+ years in a formal network architecture role for a large, multi-site environment.
  • Cloud network architecture hands-on experience designing cloud networking, with depth in Microsoft Azure.
  • Network security strong background with next-generation firewall platforms, zero-trust architecture, and secure remote access.
  • Enterprise networking solid experience with enterprise routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Multi-cloud exposure to additional public cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Automation familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting (e.g., Terraform, PowerShell, or Python).
  • Experience designing for high availability, resiliency, and secure access in a regulated environment (healthcare/HIPAA experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, leadership, and partner teams.
  • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

  • Comprehensive benefits package designed to support the physical, emotional, and financial health of you and your family, including healthcare, time off, retirement, and well-being programs.
  • Culture rooted in collaboration, growth, and innovation.
  • Professional development: each associate will earn a professional certification relevant to their field and can obtain tuition reimbursement.
  • Recognition through quarterly and annual incentive programs for all employees who go beyond and keep raising the bar for themselves and the company.
