Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development, production support, and lifecycle management of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Collaborate with business clients, IT Business Partners, and other IT functions to deliver digital capabilities.
  • Define business requirements, provide project timelines, and develop acceptance criteria for testing.
  • Translate development plans into actionable projects, including releases, modifications, and discretionary enhancements.
  • Coordinate with operations team to deploy applications to various environments.
  • Integrate new technologies and methodologies into the development pipeline.
  • Focus on the automation of processes and the improvement of system reliability and scalability.
  • Ensure applications comply with all relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Support the seamless deployment and maintenance of solutions across environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Information Technology, Science or a related field, with 5 years of related work experience.
  • 7 years of related work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in developing and testing applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, JDBC, Servlets, EJB, JSON, XML, JMS, Java Mail, DOM/SAX, SOAP Web Services, or RESTful Web Services.
  • Experience implementing applications with frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, AngularJS, React, and Python.
  • Leverage cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Configure NoSQL databases including MongoDB, HBase, and Cassandra.
  • Utilize SAS technology and GitHub to develop datasets for advanced analytics and business reporting.
  • Apply Agile methodologies and JIRA; Scrum and sprint planning.
  • Document project artifacts including System Requirement Specification (SRS), Functional Specifications (FS), Detailed Design Specifications (DDS), System Traceability Matrix (STM), and User Guides while adhering to quality processes.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5 years of experience in the following skills (which may be gained concurrently):
  • Developing and testing applications using Java, J2EE, JSP, JDBC, Servlets, EJB, JSON, XML, JMS, Java Mail, DOM/SAX, SOAP Web Services, or RESTful Web Services;
  • Implementing applications with frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, AngularJS, React, and Python;
  • Leveraging cloud technologies including Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform;

Pay

$189,592.00 - $214,940.00

Schedule

Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
