Principal AI Platform Engineer

About the role
As a Principal AI Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable AI platforms that power our company's decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and ensure high-quality, secure, and efficient AI systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable AI platforms using state-of-the-art technologies and frameworks.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain robust, secure, and scalable AI models and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, and others as applicable.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI platform architecture and practices through research and innovation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and participate in code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and AI development.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale AI systems.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and neural networks.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience with security protocols.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.
- Experience with database design and optimization.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Skills
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other deep learning frameworks.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Experience with cloud-native tools and services.

Pay
Salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 annually.
