Principal AI Architect - Agentic Verticals

About the role

We are part of the Zoom AI Vertical Organization, dedicated to enhancing the Zoom user experience in workplace and customer interactions. Our team of experts is focused on creating the next generation of AI technologies for customer verticals like healthcare, finance, retail/sales, education, etc. As an AI Architect, you will guide the technical direction of systems that understand, learn, and adapt to improve user engagement and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Designing comprehensive system architectures for vertical Agentic AI applications, establishing technical standards, patterns, and best practices for autonomous agents.
• Developing reference architectures and integration frameworks for AI solutions that enhance meeting experiences and enable seamless human-machine natural interactions within Zoom.
• Architecting scalable systems leveraging large language models (LLM) and Agentic AI frameworks for production environments.
• Leading cross-functional technical initiatives to ensure successful integration of Agentic AI solutions into Zoom's ecosystem, balancing innovation with practical implementation requirements.
• Providing technical mentorship and architectural guidance to development teams and junior architects.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cognitive Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Have 10+ years of experience in machine learning architectures, neural network design, reinforcement learning systems, cognitive frameworks, and multi-modal AI integration across speech, vision, and language understanding.
• Have proficiency in AI-focused programming languages (Python, C++, Java) with proven experience architecting solutions using modern AI frameworks and libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain).
• Showcase technical leadership and communication skills with experience translating AI concepts across technical and non-technical stakeholders and guiding cross-functional teams through AI implementation challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum Salary Range or On Target Earnings: $206,600.00 - $451,800.00
• Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
• We have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
