About the role

The Artificial Intelligent (AI) Accelerator Team is a strategic AI product, solutions, and data science organization focused on rapidly identifying business opportunities, developing AI-powered capabilities, and delivering measurable business impact across the organization. The team partners across the enterprise to accelerate innovation, integrate AI into core business processes, and drive value realization at scale.

We are building a high-performing team of leaders, architects, AI experts, product managers, data scientists, and delivery professionals who can transform ideas into deployed solutions, accelerate adoption, and deliver sustainable business outcomes quickly and effectively.

As a Principal Advanced Network Technology Support on the AI Accelerator Team, you will lead the integration of new technology platforms and provide advanced network technology support within AT&T’s distributed real-time network. You will collaborate with CTO partners in an Agile/DevOps environment to design, build, and operate functions on disaggregated networks and cloud infrastructure using software-defined networking, virtualization, and containerization.

You will serve as a strategic leader and team Subject Matter Expert (SME) in AI governance, compliance, and risk, owning portfolio health, performance, and KPI attainment across multiple initiatives. This role involves working directly with business and operational leaders to identify opportunities, deploy AI solutions, and drive sustainable adoption, embedding AI into the way the business operates and delivers value.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as team Subject Matter Expert (SME) in AI governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Ensure team stays aligned to standards and strategic objectives.
  • Own portfolio health, performance, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) attainment, and value realization.
  • Provide oversight over the entirety of the program and overall portfolio.
  • Monitor adoption, containment, Return on Investment (ROI), and overall business value.
  • Validate AI effectiveness, data quality, success criteria, and business impact.
  • Deliver dashboards, reporting, presentations, and leadership readouts.
  • Translate performance and operational metrics into actionable insights.
  • Influence, communicate, and drive outcomes at all levels, including leadership.
  • Cross-functionally work with partners across business and technology.
  • Inform partners about current and future large-scale upcoming projects/needs.
  • Drive prioritization, alignment, and cross-functional decision-making.
  • Lead the integration of new technology platforms within AT&T’s distributed real-time network.
  • Collaborate in an Agile/DevOps environment to design, build, and operate functions on disaggregated networks and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience in area of professional responsibility.
  • Certification is required in some areas.
  • Portfolio management and prioritization expertise.
  • Governance, compliance, and risk management mindset.
  • Strong analytical and KPI-driven decision-making.
  • Executive presence, communication, and leadership influence.
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Results-oriented focus on adoption, ROI, and business value.
  • Able to oversee multiple AI initiatives and portfolio health simultaneously.

Pay

Salary range: $128,400.00 - $215,800.00 USD Annual. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
