Responsibilities
- Provide engineering and technical support for Air Force armament, munitions, and weapon system programs throughout development, production, fielding, sustainment, and service life extension activities.
- Support engineering evaluations and lifecycle management activities for armament systems, munitions, and CAD/PAD devices, including service life assessments, hazard classification reviews, and technical specification development.
- Review and evaluate engineering documentation, technical data packages, requirements, and program artifacts to support acquisition and sustainment decision making.
- Conduct engineering analyses, risk assessments, trade studies, and technical evaluations to support system performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational readiness.
- Support Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), design reviews, milestone reviews, and other engineering assessments throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
- Develop technical recommendations and provide engineering expertise to Government program offices, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Cookordinate with contractors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful program execution.
- Prepare technical reports, briefings, engineering documentation, and decision-support products for Government leadership and program stakeholders.
- Support service life management, configuration management, requirements management, and sustainment planning activities to maintain mission effectiveness.

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements
- Must be a US citizen
- Active Secret security clearance required
- Education and experience requirements must meet one of the following:
- Master's degree in relevant engineering discipline + 25 years of relevant experience and recognized at national level in a relevant technical field, specialized engineering, or technology area. Published in the area of expertise and have taught formally in the area;
- Doctorate degree in a relevant engineering discipline and 25 years of relevant experience
- Extensive experience supporting DoD acquisition programs, weapon systems, munitions, armament systems, aerospace systems, or related defense programs
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex engineering efforts across the system acquisition lifecycle
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and briefing skills
- Ability to work independently and provide technical recommendations to Government leadership
