About the role
We manage complex projects across various disciplines and operating areas, including transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and IT. Projects can range from $1 million to $60 million in budget. You'll lead these projects, collaborate with other managers, and ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage large and complex projects, applying project management principles and techniques.
- Directly responsible for delivering projects on time and within budget, including negotiations with customers.
- Communicate with sponsors and stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory officials.
- Acquire and manage contract resources, including selecting contractors, approving changes, and evaluating performance.
- Coach and mentor team members to improve performance and meet expectations.
- Handle zoning and permit applications for large projects.
- Occasionally cover for the Manager Project Management.
Qualifications
- For construction project management: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 7-10 years relevant experience, or 9-12 years with a related degree.
- For non-construction project management: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field with 7-10 years relevant experience, or 9-12 years with a related degree.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or within two years of job entry.
- Proficiency in project management techniques including planning, control, issue and risk management, tools, business case development, progress reporting, and leadership.
- Leadership experience in a high-performance culture, building consensus, effective communication, engaging others, and holding people accountable.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Benefits
Annual salary varies based on skills, qualifications, and experience ($117,600.00/Yr. – $161,700.00/Yr.). Annual bonus available for eligible positions. Includes 401(k) matching, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and more.
