Primary Therapist Youth Recovery Center (YRC)
About the role
Valley View Hospital, located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, seeks a full-time Primary Therapist for its Youth Recovery Center (YRC).
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual, family, and group therapy addressing substance use, co-occurring disorders, cravings management, refusal skills, and relapse prevention.
- Cookout all phases of client care, including assessment, treatment planning, discharge preparation, and aftercare follow up.
- Apply Wraparound principles to empower families, build strengths, increase independence, and expand access to community resources.
- Assess risk, respond to crises, and exercise sound clinical judgment to ensure safety and therapeutic progress.
- Maintain consistent communication with families, YRC staff, and community partners to support continuity of care.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in clinical counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) is required.
- Active Colorado licensure (DORA): Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Psychologist is preferred.
- CAC Certification is strongly preferred; or actively working towards in an agreed timeframe.
- BLS certification through the AHA.
- Experience with adolescents and/or addiction recovery is preferred.
Qualifications

- Proficiency in Wraparound principles and community resource integration.

Pay
SALARY RANGE Licensed: $32.68 - $48.06/hour
Supervised: $24.84 - $36.52/hour
Starting wage dependent upon experience, education, and skill set
Schedule
This is a full-time position - working 40 hours/week.
