About the role
Morning Star Catholic School in Tampa seeks a Special Education Teacher for primary grades (Kindergarten–1st).
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, multi-sensory instruction
- Support student goals
- Foster a structured, nurturing classroom promoting academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
- Valid teaching certification and willingness to be certified in Exceptional Student Education
- Experience working with primary-aged students with diverse learning needs
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction, behavior supports, and early childhood development
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- A commitment to Catholic/Christian education and a passion for helping each child grow in confidence and independence
- Successful completion of Level II fingerprinting and completion of Safe Environment training
