Morning Teacher

Part-time position in Tustin, CA.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic elementary teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. The teacher will provide instruction to a small group of students in various subjects, including math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities.
• Provide small group lessons to students in grades TK-3rd grade.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance the learning experience and track student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive understanding of student needs.
• Employ special education techniques and strategies to support students with unique needs.
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation.
• Conduct assessments to identify areas where students need extra support and develop plans to address these areas.
• Provide feedback to students and parents to help them understand their progress and set goals for future improvement.

Requirements

• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities.
• Experience in adult education or early childhood education.
• Proficiency in various subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt them to meet the needs of individual students.
• Familiarity with learning technology and a willingness to learn new tools.
• Experience in special education and the ability to apply special education techniques and strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with students who have special needs.
• Experience in tutoring and a strong understanding of tutoring best practices.
• Experience working in a classroom setting or a similar environment.
