Primary Care Registered Nurse (PRN & Outpatient)

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide patient check-in
• Offer disease management
• Scrub appointments
• Increase patient access through MyHealthyVet/secure message responses
• Collaborate with community care
• Conduct patient assessments
• Administer medication and IV therapy
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor telemetry
• Handle admissions, discharges, internal and external transfers
• Delegate tasks to assistive personnel
• Document in electronic medical records
• Transport patients
• Respond to emergency situations

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license from any state in the United States
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of current nursing experience, including at least two (2) years of inpatient experience in care coordination and at least two (2) years of outpatient nursing experience
• Education: ASN accepted; BSN preferred. Education must be from a school accredited by the ACEN or CCNE

Pay

The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position is PRN; eight (8) hour shifts.
