Primary Care Physician | Partnership Track | Summer 2027

About the Role

At High Rock Internal Medicine, we are seeking an attending physician who wants to build a career, serve a community, and become a future leader within an independent physician-owned practice. This role offers the opportunity to practice relationship-centered medicine where the physician-patient relationship still comes first.

Many of our patients face significant medical, financial, and social barriers to care. For some, High Rock Internal Medicine serves as their most consistent connection to healthcare, support, and advocacy. You will care for patients with complex chronic illnesses, help vulnerable populations navigate their healthcare journeys, and build meaningful relationships that often span years or even decades.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care
• Build lasting relationships with patients and families
• Manage complex chronic disease populations
• Collaborate with behavioral health and ancillary services
• Participate in practice improvement initiatives
• Serve as a trusted healthcare advocate within the community
• Contribute to the future growth and success of an independent physician-led practice

Practice Setting

• Independent physician-owned practice founded in 2000
• Integrated biopsychosocial care model
• On-site behavioral health, radiology, and ultrasound
• Team-based care coordination

Patients

• Medically complex adults
• Underserved and vulnerable populations
• Relationship-based longitudinal care

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, no evening or weekend clinic hours
• Office-based practice
• Phone call only, approximately 3–4 calls per week
• No hospital call or rounding

Mentorship & Growth

• Weekly one-on-one coaching with Dr. Stephen Hsieh
• Structured onboarding and residency-to-practice transition
• Direct access to physician leadership
• Clear partnership track in approximately 3–4 years
• Opportunity to become an owner; partners typically earn 15–20% above base compensation

Compensation

• First-year compensation: $180,000
• Second-year potential: approximately $190,000+
• Productivity and quality incentives
• Relocation assistance available

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Completion of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med-Peds residency training
• Board certified or board eligible
• Expected residency completion in Summer 2027
• Commitment to compassionate, community-focused care
• Desire to build meaningful patient relationships
• Interest in practicing within an independent physician-owned environment
