About the role
As a Primary Care Physician at Optum, you will provide patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the treatment of health problems and the promotion of health. You will work with a team of professionals who value professionalism, adhering to ethical principles and being sensitive to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a primary care setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a variety of medical conditions
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to evidence-based guidelines and best practices
Requirements
- Current MD/DO medical license in the state of New Mexico, or ability to obtain one
- Board Certified/Eligible in Family/Internal Medicine
- New Mexico Pharmacy/DEA Registration, or ability to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Epic EMR systems & technology
- Experience in providing patient care under a Global Risk/Medicare Advantage Model

Pay
The salary range for this role is $238,500 to $392,500 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
Schedule
Full-time schedule is typically 40 hours per week.
