Primary Care Physician, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

About the role

Brigham and Women’s Primary Care at Southern Jamaica Plain is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered adult primary care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care through a collaborative, team-based, and value-driven population health management model.
• Prioritize proactive health screening and preventive care, thorough evaluation and diagnosis of symptoms, expert management of both chronic and acute conditions, and coordinated care with enhanced communication among specialists for patients with complex needs.
• Leverage and optimize an innovative clinical model designed to enhance care delivery.
• Collaborate with RNs, population health coordinators, clinical social workers, community health workers, and resource specialists enabling physicians to practice at the top of their license.

• No call responsibilities.
• Ambient scribe technology reduces documentation burden and minimizes after-hours charting.
• Dedicated virtual in-basket team triages patient messages, with additional centralized support for prescription refills and prior authorizations.
• Manageable panel with structured ramp-up.
• Competitive compensation model with value-based incentives, plus a generous sign-on bonus for those who qualify.
• Flexible scheduling options with part-time schedules 4-6 sessions, with limited potential telehealth sessions (as applicable) once patient panel is established.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, offering four to six clinical sessions per week (each session is 4 hours).

Pay

Total annual cash compensation for a Primary Care Physician generally ranges from $245,000 to $330,000 and includes base salary and eligible performance-based incentives. Physicians who achieve a full clinical panel and meet defined performance benchmarks are typically compensated at the higher end of this range.

Appointment at Harvard Medical School

Depending upon the position, there may be opportunities to teach residents and medical students. All Harvard Medical School Faculty appointments require at least 50 hours of teaching per academic year. Harvard Medical School faculty appointment is not a requirement for this position. Academic rank as Instructor or Assistant Professor, full-time or part-time at Harvard Medical School, will be considered for applicants meeting teaching expectations and will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievements.
