About the role

The Department of Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University seeks a full-time Primary Care Physician / Clinical Assistant Professor (HS).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Division of Internal Medicine within the Department of Medicine with its clinical and academic initiatives.
• Diagnose and provide primary clinical care to patients in the Department of Medicine UHD Clinics.
• Teach house-staff, students, and fellows in General Internal Medicine.
• Participate in the faculty private practice (University Physicians of Brooklyn - UPB).

Qualifications

• MD Degree.
• New York State Medical Doctor/Physician Licensure.
• Residency in Internal Medicine.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research.
