Primary Care Physician Assistant / Advanced Practice Nurse

About the role

Practice professional nursing and medicine by performing independent and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted standards. Utilize specialized knowledge to evaluate, diagnose, and treat human conditions, supporting health maintenance and promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain medical history, perform physical exams, and review relevant studies to assess patient status.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses based on collected data.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication orders, additional testing, and follow-up care, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness.
  • Perform procedures within expertise and in compliance with regulations.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion with culturally sensitive, evidence-based information.
  • Record all patient interactions, diagnostic impressions, and care activities in medical records.
  • Conduct telehealth encounters, manage in-basket tasks, respond to emergencies, and perform clinical or administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid licensure and certifications, including prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
  • Ability to perform procedures, provide patient education, and work collaboratively.
  • Must stay credentialed and compliant with all regulatory requirements.
