About the Role
This position involves practicing professional nursing or medicine, including independent and delegated medical functions, patient advocacy, and delivering comprehensive care. The role requires utilizing specialized knowledge to evaluate, diagnose, and treat various human conditions, focusing on health maintenance and promotion.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection: Obtain medical history, perform physical exams, review lab and imaging studies.
- Assessment: Develop accurate diagnoses and differential diagnoses.
- Treatment Planning: Create and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate additional testing or consultations.
- Procedural Skills: Perform procedures within expertise and regulatory guidelines.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients on treatment, disease prevention, and health promotion, ensuring culturally sensitive communication.
- Documentation: Record examination data, diagnostic impressions, and care activities comprehensively.
- Additional Tasks: Conduct telehealth visits, manage urgent situations, and perform clinical or administrative duties as assigned.

- Maintain clinical competence through continuing education and certification.
- Participate in training, mentoring, and quality assurance activities.
- Adhere to legal, organizational policies, and patient safety standards.

Qualifications
- For APNs: Graduate Degree in Nursing, valid nurse practitioner certification, and prescriptive authority license.
- For PAs: Bachelor's degree, PA license, and certification.
- Licenses, registrations, and DEA registration required within specified timeframes.
- Must obtain and maintain credentialing and complete all required certifications.
