About the role
The Primary Care Patient Care Medical Assistant (MA) works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care in a systematic way. The MA partners with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities are performed in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with primary care providers to deliver patient-centered care
- Work as part of a clinical care team to achieve quality outcomes
- Perform duties in alignment with Mercy’s mission and values
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must attend MA Clinic Academy training upon hire
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- One year of applicable patient care experience or medical office experience

- Works well as a member of a team and collaborates across the care team

- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-directed; able to perform in-scope tasks independently with minimal oversight
Schedule
- Full-Time – 40 hours per week
- Day shift, Monday through Friday
