Primary Care Assistant - LPN - Primary Care Clinic Fort Smith

About the Role

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Care LPN works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care LPN will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Mercy Primary Care Providers to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Work as part of a clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for patients.
  • Perform duties consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
  • Licensed as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the state of practice.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office (preferred).

Skills

  • Works well as a member of a team and collaborates with all members of the care team.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible and positive attitude.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-directed and able to perform tasks within scope of practice independently with minimal oversight.

Physical Requirements

  • Push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
