About the role
Gates is a leading manufacturer of application-specific fluid power and power transmission solutions. We push the boundaries of material science to engineer solutions that continually exceed customer expectations. Our products are found in a variety of applications, from motorcycles and conveyor belts to cars, tractors, blenders, vacuum cleaners, bicycles, and 3D printers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of pricing, including quoting, price adjustments, prototype-to-production requests, raw material agreements, deductions, accrual communications, and production setup.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and profitable quote delivery, including tracking and evaluation, while aligning with overall business objectives.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, marketing, engineering, and cross-functional teams to develop and execute competitive pricing strategies.
- Translate and analyze complex data into actionable strategies that drive sales growth, enhance profit margins, and support business decisions.
- Manage the process of hydraulic assembly item setup, including interpretation of customer blueprints, creation of master specifications, and coordination across multiple specification systems.
- Evaluate internal and customer requests with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards to ensure feasibility.
- Identify and challenge inconsistencies in customer requests, providing recommendations and solutions that balance customer objectives with company goals.
Requirements And Preferred Skills
- BS/BA or equivalent (4 years of experience) with 1 year of pricing experience.
- Fundamental understanding of business principles, pricing strategies, and financial metrics, with the ability to manage detail-oriented projects and adapt to changing priorities.
- Self-motivated, with a focus on identifying quality solutions and continuously improving processes while prioritizing business needs.
- Strong analytical skills with a talent for data analysis and problem-solving.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Oracle/SAP and a pricing system is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and contribute within a cross-functional team environment.
- Excellent math skills, including proficiency in algebra, equations, fractions, and decimals.

Pay & Benefits
- Full-Time Pay Range: $67,240 - $84,050.
- Relocation is not provided.
- Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits begin on the first day of the month immediately following your date of hire.
- Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued.
