About the role
The Pricing Supervisor leads a team of Pricing Specialists and ensures the accurate and timely administration of customer pricing. This role oversees the entry and validation of vendor contracts and pricing data within company systems to support regional and national customer accounts. The Pricing Supervisor serves as a key liaison between Pricing, Sales Support, Purchasing, and Information Systems teams to ensure pricing accuracy, contract compliance, and operational efficiency. The position drives adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs), maintains data integrity through audit and quality review processes, and identifies continuous improvement opportunities to enhance pricing operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, develop, and evaluate a team of Pricing Specialists to ensure accuracy, productivity, and achievement of departmental objectives.
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and auditing of customer pricing, vendor bill-back contracts, deviations, and bid agreements.
- Ensure accurate and profitable pricing for national and regional customer accounts.
- Monitor team performance against established SLAs and quality standards.
- Partner with Sales and Margin teams to implement and maintain pricing strategies, margin objectives, and customer contract requirements.
- Provide subject matter expertise and technical guidance related to pricing systems, processes, and procedures.
- Support customer-initiated and internal pricing audits and resolve pricing discrepancies as needed.
- Utilize Excel, Access, and reporting tools to analyze pricing data, identify trends, and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with maintaining process documentation and controls to support compliance requirements.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and enhance customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 2–4 years of experience in pricing, contract administration, purchasing, sales support, or a related function.
- Experience leading or supervising a small team, including coaching, training, and performance management.
- Knowledge of customer contracts, national accounts, vendor agreements, and cost-plus pricing programs.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
