About the role
Under direct supervision, carries out the analytical and clerical aspects of the contract and bidding documentation function. Audits pricing of contracts and works directly with bidding agencies as a primary contact. Collaborates with procurement/purchasing to verify pricing and with sales to communicate bid awards. Ensures professional, accurate, and timely communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a log of bids received, track delivery and results, copy bids, and distribute to buyers for pricing.
- Transfer bids to spreadsheet format for analysis and review customer pricing and account margins.
- Run pricing reports for large accounts and vendors and solicit agencies for new bid opportunities.
- Create and maintain contracts associated with bids, ensuring all requirements are met and analyze bids for profitability.
- Gather bid results and recaps of competitor pricing, keep accurate records, and verify bid accuracy; challenge discrepancies.
- Review SOX reporting and comply with financial policies.
- Assist accounts receivable in resolving billing discrepancies and perform other administrative or related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 12+ months of experience in accounting, accounting admin support, finance, business, or a related area.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Pay
$22–$24/hour, based on experience.
