About the role
The Pricing Specialist supports a broad range of operational activities related to pricing maintenance, discounting practices, and administration. Processes are based on transparency throughout the enterprise and compliance with corporate policies.
Responsibilities
- List Price Maintenance and Price Integrity
- Ongoing process of ensuring accuracy of all account pricing
- Work with field sales to determine if prices are acceptable & will benefit the business
- Initiation and follow-up of account price change requests
- Distribution of price sheets to field sales
- Rebate Programs (Annual and Short-term Volume Buys)
- Create programs and monitor the approval process. Modify programs as necessary
- Tracking of sales associated with programs
- Aid field sales and customers with inquiries related to program progress
- Create and distribute customer confirmation letters to field sales
- Confirm that accruals are correct
- Rebate Programs (Contractor and Builder Rebates)
- Set up programs in the Sales Incentive Systems and monitor approval status
- Confirm rebate submissions and issue check requests
- Work with the Rebates & Incentives team to help with necessary changes
- Other Programs
- Support other Sales-related discounting programs and related accruals as necessary
- Sales Credits
- Work with field sales to determine if credits are necessary
- Initiate credit requests in system workflow and monitor progress
- Support satisfactory resolution of Unauthorized Deductions
- Sales Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare profitability analyses as necessary
- Aid in tracking data for field sales
- Make recommendations for improvement prices/rebates
- Ad hoc analysis as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- HS Diploma / GED required
- Strong customer service skills, required
- Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or related work experience
- Experience in manufacturing, especially roofing, is preferred
- Experience with pricing administration is desirable
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work as a team player
