Pricing Department Clerk

About the role

This position will be responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. This position will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

Schedule: Weekend availability required with Tuesday overnight shift 12 AM - 8 AM.

We are searching for an entry-level team member to join us as a Pricing Department Clerk who is able to complete a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service, pricing, inventory, and merchandising. You will also collaborate with other team members and managers on additional tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Possess a sense of urgency and comfort level to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Build rapport with customers.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Create signage for items throughout the store.
• Verify weekly ad.
• Assist with department resets.
• Respond to customer questions in an effective and efficient manner.
• Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and tasks are evenly divided.
• Ensure departments receive all necessary pricing information/tools.
• Execute pricing tasks for departments.
• Update and print signs for departments.
• Pull expired signs and hang new signs in departments.
• Complete price changes.
• Print shelf tags for departments.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Adequate knowledge of computer systems and comfortable using them.
• Process driven and able to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.
• Ability to stay calm while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Desire to work with customers on a consistent basis.
