Pricing Analyst I
Job Summary
Under routine supervision, this position is responsible for the routine pricing of our business accounts for maximum profitability and efficient utilization of company assets. The incumbent will use the standard pricing model with no deviation; if beyond scope, manager support is needed.
Job Description
Determine pricing consistent with company objectives as it relates to market rate and customer objectives
Work with assigned pricing team to support preparation for customer reviews, maintain market competitive pricing, and to retain and expand business; consult with internal teams to understand customer requirements, objectives related to pricing needs, and market intelligence, as needed
Support bid process by collecting and analyzing preliminary rate and volume data, and published accessorials relative to operational characteristics for actual cost and revenue collection trends in order to maintain profitable business
Create and effectively execute basic account strategies
Build relationships with internal teams through consistent rapport
Gain competency with the tools needed to execute job responsibilities and consistently follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the role
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification: High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 1-2 years of relevant transportation logistics, pricing, or finance experience, or comparable combination of education, experience, and training, and/or military equivalent
Preferred Qualification: Bachelor's degree in transportation logistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant transportation logistics, pricing, or finance experience, or comparable combination of education, experience, and training, and/or military equivalent
